From L.A. to Laughlin (Nevada): Tropicana Hotel

Since tuesday, 31 of january, I´m with a german bus travel group to visit some of the most famous places around the Grand Canyon.

On our way from L.A. to Laughlin, we had a 2 hours stop at the Tanger Outlet Center. Honestly, this stop wasn´t necessary at all. I think the travel agency gets money if they bring us there for shopping. The most of the 33 persons of the group weren´t happy about this unexpected stop.

The trains (in the middle of the pic) are really long, I counted 110 rail cars!

My initials in the middle of nowhere

Laughlin and the Tropicana Hotel surroundings:
Casinos, casinos, casinos only with hundreds of persons 70+ "Golden Girls"-Style, sitting like zombies in front of the machines, gambling the whole day. I´m shocked!

Fortunately, there is the Colorado river just next to the hotel:

This Hotel Lobby floor reminds me of the film
"Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas"

My hotel room, this time without internet.
They charge the internet access with 11,99 $ for 24 hours! Incredible!
